One-piece box construction chassis made from 3/16" hot-rolled steel will not flex during operation. Powder-coated chassis resists peeling & corrosion. Professional 1-1/4" diameter blade shaft expertly machined to ensure accurate cutting and minimize vibration. Depth control shaft is machined from 3/4" hardened steel and is supported by rugged bearing assembly to resist bending. Depth control assembly engineered for smooth, controlled blade insertion. Positive-locking mechanism. Wide 18" (457mm) wheel base provides superb balance & stability. Parallel cuts can be made from both left and right sides of the saw within 1" of wall or curb. Torque delivered smoothly by two heavy-duty heat & oil treated tri-power notched V-belts. Ergonomically designed handle adjusts to comfortably accommodate the operator. Durable 8"x2 1/4" non-slip rubber wheels with maintenance-free hubs & roller bearings. Industrial style blade shaft assembly supported by two heavy-duty, self-aligning pillow block bearings with easy access grease fittings.
